Schedule an Appointment Using PlaceFull

The listing process is very much the same as a traditional PlaceFull listing. The major difference is that the customer doesn’t have to enter their credit card information at checkout, rather they pay on the day of the event. Basically, the customer is just scheduling a day and time. Just to clarify, the word appointment is used interchangeably with reservation in this “How To”. Several merchants have informed us that this feature would be beneficial when they are worried about attendance rates.  For example, you may need 10 kids to register for a camp before it runs. If you are not worried about attendance, we recommend charging your customers to decrease cancellation rates. If you are having trouble grasping this concept, think Opentable, but for kids activities.

It’s important to remember that you can convert any listing that collects payment to an appointment/reservation listing by logging into your account and checking off “require appointment reservation with later payment” under the pricing tab. The examples below will highlight how to create a new appointment/reservation listing. Then show what the reservation/appointment looks like in your dashboard and to your customers.

Scenario: Creating a NEW Appointment/Reservation Listing

Follow these simple steps!

1. Login to your PlaceFull Dashboard 2. Click the Listings Link and then hit the Create Listing button listings 3. Choose online booking and proceed Screen Shot 2014-02-04 at 10.01.22 AM 4. 1. If you have a reservation, you will notice a small red x under the paid column.

Hint: At the time of the reservation, emails are still sent out.

2. Once the customer arrives and pays, click the magnifying icon to see details and mark as paid.

Hint: The billing details will also show Funded By: Appointment

3. Once marked as paid, a green check mark will replace the red x.

Hint: Metrics will be updated on your dashboard at the time of reservation.

What will the reservation look like to my customers?

1. You will notice the green call to action says “Reserve Now” instead of “Book Now” Screen Shot 2014-02-04 at 11.21.20 AM 2. Checkout doesn’t require a credit card to make the reservation.
