FEATURE RELEASE: Listing Categories, 1 Page Checkout, Auto-Unpublish Listings, and Dashboard Update

The last feature release of 2016 is finally upon us. We are excited to help you get ready for the new year – check out all of the NEW and awesome additions we have in store for you below!

Listing Categories

The NEW Listing Categories feature takes listing customization to the next level – giving merchants the ability to pick and choose what events they want displayed on their calendar and list view. Instead of displaying all events on one calendar or list view, you can now create multiple calendars or lists to add to their website and Facebook.

Does your business offer a variety of party packages? If that is the case, you can now create a list view of all your parties that you have to offer! Or maybe your business offers both kid and adult events? Now you can easily create two separate list views to display all of your categorized events in an organized way for you customer’s viewing.

Auto-unpublish Listings

The NEW Auto-unpublish feature is a sure way to declutter your List View of events. Keep your past and present listings organized and save yourself time weeding through expired listings. With the simple click of a button, turn on the auto-unpublish feature to automatically unpublish listings from your List View when they expire.

1 Page Checkout

We love giving our merchants options! Choose how you want your customers to experience the checkout process. Do you prefer PlaceFull’s traditional checkout made up of a few quick and easy steps? Or would you prefer a one page checkout that displays all steps? The choice is yours!

Dashboard Update

Last but not least – our new and improved dashboard options! The NEW Manage drop-down tab was created to make it easy for you to quickly access the pages you frequent the most. Under the new tab you can find pages such as: Listings, Categories, Booking Questions, and Listing Settings. Click around and check out just how convenient the new layout is!

How to Get More Mobile Online Bookings on Facebook

Nowadays, we are finding that more and more people are using their mobile devices to keep in touch with the online world – especially when accessing Facebook. It’s important to make mobile booking easy for your customers and to optimize your Facebook business page. PlaceFull made a quick video to show you how to do just that – in 2 simple steps!

  1. Login to your PlaceFull account
  2. Click the green drop-down arrow by your account name and select Your Page from the drop-down menu

Next, you will need to edit your Facebook Call to Action button using the steps below:

  1. Login to your Facebook Business page
  2. Click the blue button on the right side and select Edit Button from the drop-down menu
  3. This button usually defaults to “Call Now” – you will need to push the Back button and select Book Now as your Call to Action button.
  4. Copy and paste the web address from your PlaceFull one pager (or other desired destination)
  5. Click Save Changes

Printable Event Calendar

Our merchants have made numerous requests for printable event calendars and guess what – the wait is up!  Enjoy the convenience of exporting your event calendar so your can print it for customers or hang it on the door of your business for everyone to see.

Easy Email Shortcut

With PlaceFull’s new Easy Email shortcut button, send quick email messages to your customers prior or after their event from multiple places on your dashboard. Some customers like to book their event or class  weeks – even months in advance! To ensure their reservation doesn’t slip their mind, use our new Easy Email Feature to send customized reminder emails right before a class or event. See below for more great ways to use this feature:

  • Basic Event/Party reminder
  • Event Cancellations (Possibly for Inclement Weather)
  • Class/Event time change
  • Instructor change
  • Thank you note to customers after they attend an event
  • Reminder to bring additional items to their event (Personal items for event (like your own apron – for our art studios out there), party decorations, additional food items, BYOB reminders, etc.)

 Search Engine and Archive Folder for Listing Page

Managing  and organizing your PlaceFull events has never been easier. With our new Search feature,  just type in a keyword from your listing title and watch it appear! You can also Archive listings to save, store and quickly access your most commonly used listing templates.

At PlaceFull we are constantly improving our online booking solution and this month we released a complete overhaul and upgrade to our reporting system!

Throwback Thursday – Adding Your Calendar to Facebook

On today’s Throwback Thursday we are bringing it back to one of our original Facebook integration features. Integrating your event calendar to Facebook is a great tool to give your social media followers an idea of your upcoming events. They can even book directly from the calendar, no website required.

Below is a quick walk through of how you can get your calendar integrated to Facebook.

1. Go to Facebook and download the Static HTML app Here and add this to your business’s Facebook page.

2.Go to settings and choose the “Apps” menu. Click on “Edit Settings” under the Static HTML App. Then change the tab name to “Event Calendar” , save and close this tab.
